We provide diverse health services to these populations which include, teens with autism who are exploring body awareness and require educational support; premenopausal women facing health challenges related to fertility, pregnancy, and menstrual cycle issues; and postmenopausal women who need guidance on menopause, including its impact on the body and natural remedies such as dietary adjustments, lifestyle modifications, and medications to enhance their overall health and wellbeing.

Health Education

Our health literacy and evidence-based education will focus on women's health and autistic teenagers who are going through both physical and psychological changes. The afore-mentioned populations, through our health literacy services and evidence-based health information, gain a deeper understanding of their bodies, health conditions, and various social determinants that influence their overall health and well-being.

It is widely recognized that women's health presents distinct differences from men's health in numerous ways, and teenage autistic population too.

The World Health Organization (WHO) defines health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." Consequently, we focus on educating and counseling women of all ages, and autistic teenagers providing them with essential resources for self-care and knowledge, while fostering collaborative relationships with their healthcare providers to enhance health outcomes.

Medication Therapy Management

Our Pharmacists utilize the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) model established by the American Pharmacist Association, and the National Association of Chain Drug Stores Foundation, to enhance health outcomes of our patients  through personalized patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The core components of our MTM include: medication therapy review, personal medication record, medication-related action plan, intervention or referral, and comprehensive documentation, and follow-up. Consequently, our pharmacists possess extensive knowledge of medications and excel in clinical and communication skills, allowing them to educate and counsel our patients effectively while coordinating with their healthcare providers when needed to ensure the highest quality of care and an optimal quality of life.

Counseling

Counseling plays a crucial role in comprehensively understanding a patient's health and medication needs through effective communication. Our Pharmacist primary goals of our patient counseling include assessing the patient's understanding of their therapy, ensuring the appropriate use of prescribed medications, discussing potential side effects and adverse reactions, enhancing patient adherence, and encouraging active patient participation in their health management.

Lifestyle Changes

Our pharmacists are highly trained lifestyle coaches who incorporate the six pillars of lifestyle medicine: whole food, plant-predominant eating patterns, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, effective stress management, avoidance of substance abuse, and fostering positive connections. These lifestyle interventions can be intergrated into our medication therapy management (MTM) services, providing a comprehensive approach to the prevention and management of cardiovascular diseases, type 2 diabetes, and obesity.

Mental Health Management

Our pharmacists are trained to make meaningful impact on the health outcomes of patients dealing with mental illness through medication therapy management, and various non-pharmacological interventions. As readily available public healthcare providers, we focus on education, screening, essential resource provision, and addressing medication-related issues, all of which enhance patient health outcomes. Our pharmacists recognize the significant role they play and are committed to ensure women and autistic teenagers have resources to better manage their mental illness, in collaboration with their healthcare providers thereby, adding a unique and invaluable aspect of care for these individuals.

Cardiovascular Health

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) impacts women in ways that differ significantly from men, and unfortunately, the symptoms of this condition often go unnoticed by both the individual and healthcare providers.  Despite existing guidelines and awareness initiatives, the number of CVD-related fatalities among women continues to rise annually. Therefore our Pharmacists ensure patients understand their disease state, the cause(s), how to prevent and manage it either through pharmacologic or other non pharmacological interventions. Our pharmacists play an increasingly crucial role in counseling regarding obesity, as this issue is linked to numerous other health complications and ultimately influences the well-being of entire families.

Reproductive Health

Our pharmacist delivers tailored care to women at all stages of life and young adults on the autism spectrum regarding their reproductive health by overseeing their medications and introducing additional lifestyle interventions that holistically enhance the overall health and wellbeing of these groups.

Our emphasis on women's health concerns, include: hormonal fluctuations, fibroids, endometriosis, cancer, family planning, foodborne illnesses, osteoporosis, pregnancy and childbirth, sexually transmitted infections, tobacco use, and vaccinations. We offer medication therapy management, counseling, and self-care practices designed to bolster the health and wellbeing of these specific populations.
